Dr. Hideo TERASHIMA
Medical Advisory of CUC Group (M.D., Ph.D., Former Professor of University of Tsukuba)
Dr. Terashima graduated from Akita University School of Medicine at the top of the class. After completing Akita University Graduate School of Medicine, he dedicated himself to becoming both a “well-rounded surgeon” and a “clinical researcher” at a large community-based teaching hospital for 10 years.
In recognition of his achievements, he was offered a position as a junior associate professor in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Tsukuba and then appointed to a professor of Gastroenterological Surgery, holding various senior positions such as a director of Regional Medical Cooperation Center and a director of Hitachi Naka Medical Education and Research Center at the University of Tsukuba Hospital.
After committing to his work at the university for over 15 years, he decided to make a new career allowing for engagement in the establishment of “sustainable healthcare systems”. As the first step, he spent one year trying to broaden his knowledge and perspectives in the medical fields in which he had had no experience, i.e., advanced emergency medicine and in-home healthcare while working as a clinician.
In April 2019, he joined CUC Inc. with a bold vision in his mind. Currently, he has been active as a medical advisor with a focus on new business development.
